Holmes-Made Films commissions include short films for NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations), charities and community groups , producing content for organisations such as RehabCare, INTO (Irish National Teachers’ organisation) Monaghan County Council and the National Women’s Council of Ireland.
Holmes-Made Films is a contemporary, creative and innovative company with a strong focus on human rights, multiculturalism, diversity, and identity.
Working to a high standard, the company aims to offer stimulating and original video content that is both challenging and entertaining.

Drama Darlings

Every year, the cast and crew of Encore Productions write, produce and perform their own shows in the local Táin theatre in Dundalk. A film with heart, humour and honesty, this is a personal account of the different strands which make up a team, a group of friends and a drama troupe. Encore Productions is based in the RehabCare resource centre in Dundalk, Co.Louth.

Queen of the Plough

The Queen of the Plough title refers to the ploughing competition founded in 1953 at the National Ploughing Competition.
In this 12 minute observational documentary, we aim to promote and celebrate women farmers in Ireland as well as highlight the work necessary to compete in the ploughing championships.

Hands Together

The videos have been produced by three local groups as part of the Hands Together 2 Project, which aims to bring people from different communities together through arts and heritage programmes.
Three groups – Monaghan Poets and Song Writers’ Group, Lough Neagh Writers’ Group and Burnavon Writers’ Group – made the videos with the help of filmmaker Cara Holmes, who was chosen to take on the task of producing the 10 short pieces.

A short documentary about the Civil Marriage campaign in Ireland. This film focuses on the campaign in Ireland in 2010, spearheaded by groups like LGBT Noise and Marriage Equality.

‘THE DREAM MACHINE’  is a narrative film made by the cast and crew of Encore Productions.
In collaboration with RehabCare, Dundalk a fictional film was produced focusing on the creative ambitions of local service users in the area.
The Dream Machine premiered in Dundalk with a sold out screening in the at the IMC Cinema.
